ZELEC® TY by Stepan Company is a neutralized alcohol phosphate-based anti-static agent. It helps lower electrical resistivity to the surfaces to which it is applied when used in an environment with adequate atmospheric moisture. It is effective where water repellancy properties are desired, especially when used in conjunction with fluorochemical water repelling products. ZELEC® TY is stable in bases and in acids below pH 4. Compatible with polyolefin fibers, plastics and films and on carpet. It can be applied by padding, impregnating, spraying or coating followed by drying in standard equipment. Recommended dosage is 0.5% on the weight of the surface fiber when used on nylon in carpet applications.
