SONGSORB® 3290 by Songwon is benzotriazole-based UV absorber for plastics. It is a strong absorber of ultraviolet radiation in the 300-400nm region. It possesses a high degree of photostability-photochemical energy absorbed in ultraviolet region is dissipated as thermal energy. SONGSORB® 3290 provides effective light stabilization as well as prevents the yellowing and degradation of polymers such as polycarbonate, unsaturated polyesters & acrylics. It protects the polymers from UV radiation, helping to preserve the original appearance as well as physical integrity of molded articles, films, sheets and fibers during outdoor weathering. It can be used in combination with phenolic as well as phosphite antioxidants, and optimize performance in outdoor use.
