Antilux® 500

Antilux® 500 by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is an anti-ozonant used in rubber. It is a wax used to protect rubber articles against cracking by ozone and weathering influences. The formation of the protective film takes place at a medium-fast rate. It carries anti-ozonants and anti-oxidants to the surface of the vulcanizate by its migration and forms there a complete protective film which remains stable at temperatures up to about 30 °C. It finds application in technical molded and extruded articles, micro-cellular rubber, cable jackets, which are used at moderate temperatures. Recommended dosage level is 2-15 phr, depending on the type of compound. Antilux® 500 has a shelf life of 3 years.
