Safoam® AP-40 by Reedy Chemical Foam acts as an endothermic (heat absorbing)/exothermic (heat expelling) chemical nucleating and foaming agent. Improves surface quality and to reduce VOC emissions. Used in injection molding to reduce machine energy, to eliminate sink marks, improves cycle time, reduces warp and for minor weight reduction. In extrusion it is used to create a cellular structure and improve throughput in medium density extrudates. Recommended for ABS, PVC, HIPS, TPE and Elastomer based thermoplastics. Recommended dosage of Safoam® AP-40 is 0.5-2.0%. It complies with FDA good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) 21 C.F.R. Part 110.
