D.O.P ( Di Octyl Phthalate)

Supplied byPlastay (Sungur Group)- Last Updated on Jul 5, 2019

Dioctyl phthalate. Acts as a plasticizer. This ester is produced from the reaction of phthalic anhydride with 2-ethylhexanol. It causes all the polymeric materials including PVC to soften swiftly. It does not cause chemical changes in polymers but provides required physical and mechanical changes. It increases the life of plastics by increasing the resistance to heat. Also increases the elasticity of the material. Exhibits electrical resistance. Recommended for the packing materials, cable insulation sheets and in the high layers of artificial leather as well as films.
