Perkadox® BC-FF by Nouryon is a cross-linking and thermoset curing agent. It is pure, general purpose, monofunctional dialkyl peroxide. It is used for the (co)polymerization of styrene in the temperature range of 110-165°C. It may also be used as synergistic co-agent in combination with halogen containing flame retardants to produce flame-retardant expandable polystyrene. It is a high temperature initiator for the curing of unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester and acrylic thermosetting resins. This additive is used for the cross-linking of natural and synthetic rubbers, as well as thermoplastic polyolefins. Rubber compounds containing this product have good processing safety with a moderate rate of cure. It is suitable for XLPE power distribution cables. The shelf life of Perkadox® BC-FF is 12 months.
