Kane Ace™ IM 140P by Kaneka is an acrylic copolymer. Acts as impact modifier, heat stabilizer and UV abosorber. It is based on pure acrylic core-shell rubber particles, provides an excellent balance of impact resistance with a minor impact on other mechanical properties, such as heat distortion temperature and rigidity of the parts.
- Has good control of viscosity, excellent weatherability, and UV and heat stability.
- Used for engineering plastics, such as polyesters, polyamides and polycarbonate blends at elevated temperatures and at temperatures of 0°C and below.
- Kane Ace™ IM 140P can also be used in general industry goods such as seat shells, office chair components, sports, garden, and lawn components.
- Its typical applications include automotive components like under-the-hood components, headlight components, door and window hardware and electrical components like cabinets, connectors, switches and reflector shells, body panels.
