Davis Color™ Red 10-289 by Huntsman is a blend of light-shade primary synthetic iron oxide reds (Fe2O3). It is manufactured in large batches on intensive grinding and blending equipment.
- It meets or exceeds ASTM C979-82 standards for pigments used in cement.
- It exhibits color-stability in processing temperatures below 1000°C (1832°F).
- It is recommended, owing to its sufficient purity, for use in packaging or articles that come in contact with food (21CFR), but not suitable for the direct coloration of pet food or cosmetics.
- It offers reliability and consistent quality, stability under exposure to sunlight and UV radiation, and alkali, chemical and weather resistancy.
- Davis Color™ Red 10-289 is used for plastics and rubber applications.
