Cobalt Blue 419 by Huntsman is a high-strength inorganic blue pigment manufactured by calcination of cobalt, chrome and aluminum at processing temperatures above 1000°C. Meets ASTM C979-82 standards. Exhibits color-stability up to 1000°C (1832°F), and non-migrating properties. Offers maximum stability to: weathering, fading, chemical and solvent exposure, thermal degradation and oxidation. Recommended, owing to its sufficient purity for use in packaging or articles that come in contact with food (21CFR), but not suitable for the direct coloration of food or cosmetics. Ideally suited for the coloration of thermoplastics, thermosetting resins. Cobalt Blue 419 is used for rubbers and plastics applications.
