AUSIPOL PA-30

AUSIPOL PA-30 by Greenchemicals acts as a regrader, processing aid and repolymerizing agent during the extrusion process. It is a reactive additive for polyethylene terephthalate (PET). It effectively increases the intrinsic viscosity (i.v.) of polyesters, leading to enhanced mechanical properties.

• For undried PET, the additive must be added after the vent (degassing unit) to optimize efficiency.
• It is suitable for non-transparent PET applications such as textiles and compounds and should be directly introduced into the extruder hopper without pre-drying.
• The recommended dosage level is 0.10-1.00%, depending on the application.
• For recycled PET, a 0.3% dosage results in a 0.08-point increase, and 0.5% enhances i.v. by 0.12 points.
• In virgin PET, a 0.3% addition increases i.v. by 0.15 points, while 0.5% raises i.v. by 0.20 points.
• The impact is more significant for higher initial i.v. values.
• At 0.1% dosage, AUSIPOL PA-30 ensures consistent output and uniform viscosity.
• In PET staple fiber extrusion, where the residence time in the extruder is extended, even low dosages (0.10–0.15%) significantly improve viscosity.
