Phosphorus based flame retardant. It allows high extrusion throughput rates and a superior surface quality. Has ability to achieve the most stringent FR specifications at a thickness of 0.4mm while maintaining full transparency and excellent melt flow. It is highly soluble in wide range of common organic solvents but insoluble in water and hexane. Nofia® OL3000 is a low molecular weight alternative to polymers useful for optimizing properties (such as flexibility). It enables a final product which is easily colorable. Used for thermoplastics (elastomers), unsaturated polyesters, thermoplastic polyurethane, epoxy, polyurea and thermoset resins. Can also be used in wires & cables as well as building and construction. It is also used in polycarbonate film/sheet and moldings.
