Acts as a secondary antioxidant. Is particularly decomposes hydroperoxides, formed by auto-oxidation of polymers and neutralizes them. Used in polyolefins and other polymers requiring long term heat ageing properties. It is often used as synergist in combination with phenolic antioxidants. Has been approved for use in some food packaging applications. It is mainly used in combination with phenolic antioxidants in PE, PP, ABS, polyester, polyamides, acetals, nylon 6/66, PET/PBT, PC, PS. Is mainly used in automotives, appliances, containers, PE films, tape, injection & rotational molding, metallocene, PP injection molding, TPO, ABS.
