TEGO® Antifoam 1488 by Evonik is an organo-modified siloxane emulsion-based anti-foaming agent. It combines excellent foam suppression and long-term efficiency with maximum compatibility at the same time.
- It is easily dispersible in water (1:1 to 1:10).
- It is suitable for aqueous-based systems.
- It is used in various polymer dispersions/latices where the use of traditional silicone oil-based antifoams is restricted and the textile industry (e.g. textile sizing, production of non-woven).
- Recommended dosage ranges from 0.05% to 0.2% (initial dosage: 0.1%).
- TEGO® Antifoam 1488 complies with FDA regulations.
