Epodil® 746 by Evonik is an aliphatic glycidyl ether, specifically 2-ethylhexyl glycidyl ether (EHGE). It is monofunctional and reduces the viscosity of epoxy resin systems. It causes molecular weight chain termination, the minimum amount necessary to achieve the desired viscosity reduction should be used. Possesses improved flexibility. Used in laminates and potting compounds. Epodil® 746 is particularly useful where low volatility levels are required so that problems in poorly ventilated areas are minimized.
