ENGAGE™ 8450 Polyolefin Elastomer by Dow is an ethylene-octene copolymer-based impact modifier with excellent flow properties. It provides superb impact properties in blends with polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE), especially in applications requiring slightly higher melt flow. It shows excellent compatibility with other polyolefins, allowing for efficient blending and coextrusion.
- It provides excellent compatibility with other olefins and is efficiently cross-linked by peroxide, silane, or irradiation.
- When cross-linked, it gives exceptional heat aging, compression set, and weather resistance properties.
- It is used in a wide range of general purpose thermoplastic elastomer applications, impact modification and wire & cables.
- It is suitable for processing by compounding and XL foaming.
