DOWSIL™ 31-441 Additive by Dow acts as a processing aid for polyamide (PA)-based composites. It improves PA processability and injectability. It improves the extrusion process by decreasing screw torque and melt temperature. It has a dual effect on surface properties by reducing coefficient of friction (COF) at lower loadings than polytetrafluoroethylene and improving scratch resistance. It shows minimal to no impact on mechanical performance. It is easy to use and apply in dry blending with pellets or powdery additives. DOWSIL™ 31-441 Additive has a shelf life of 24 months.
