Rheoptima™ X17 by Croda acts as a rheology modifier. It is a vegetable derived polymer used to create clear, thermo-reversible gels of organics with low polarity. Designed for display electronics technology, 3D printing and advanced ceramics. It is made by the reaction of functional amines and diacids terminated with various end groups. It gels liquid by forming a 3D structure via hydrogen bonding between the amide groups and is compatible with low polarity liquids. It can be used as a steric stabiliser for dispersions of particulates and allows lower viscosity as well as high solid loading. Suitable for polymeric acrylic/ vinylic/ UV and non-polar solvent system. Rheoptima™ X17 complies with REACH regulation.
