MINBLOC® HC500 by Covia is an all-natural anti-block additive, pigment dispersant and filler based on nepheline syenite. It is designed for clear or opaque films with thickness less than 15 microns. It is chemically inert, non-absorptive and doesn't interfere with other polymer additives. It is used in food and beverage packaging, medical packaging and technical films. It provides superior clarity, gloss and lower haze values in packaging grade flexible films, without diminishing critical optical, structural and mechanical properties.
- It optimizes the performance of slip, antioxidants, stabilizers, colorants and other processing aids.
- It is suitable for masterbatch compounding or direct additions to film grade resin systems.
- It is easier to handle and disperse, and allows for higher masterbatch loadings.
- It offers reduced energy cost and enhanced thermicity in plastic agricultural greenhouse films.
- It does not contain free crystalline silica and does not require silica-related labeling.
- MINBLOC® HC500 is included on Japan's Positive List and complies with EU Plastic Regulation No. 10/2011, RoHS, Kosher, CONEG and OSHA’s respiratory crystalline silica (RCS) standards.
- It is NHC (China) and FDA approved for indirect food-contact applications.
- The recommended dosage level is up to 50% by weight of the polymer.
