CAB-O-SIL® M-7D

CAB-O-SIL® M-7D by Cabot is a medium-high surface area fumed silica that reinforces silicone rubber. Possesses high purity and low bulk density. It has aggregated structure and submicron particle size. It is suitable for use in the reinforcement of silicone rubbers, including heat-cured rubber, high temperature vulcanizing or high consistency rubber (HTV or HCR) and liquid silicone rubber (LSR), in which it can increase hardness, tensile strength and elongation. Due to the hydrophilic surface of CAB-O-SIL® M-7D further modification of its surface is necessary to prevent crepe hardening.
