BYK® -W 966

BYK®-W 966 by BYK is a wetting and dispersing agent for filled unsaturated polyester resins as well as for acrylic, PU and epoxy resins to reduce viscosity and prevent settling. It is used for fiber reinforced spray-up and hand lay-up resins and cobalt-accelerated putty compounds. It is an aromatic-free solution of ANTI-TERRA®-U 100. It contains 34% renewable raw material. It improves the dispersion of all conventional fillers such as calcium carbonate and aluminum hydroxide. It reduces the viscosity of the filled resin, allowing a higher filling level. In most cases, the settling of fillers during storage and processing is reduced. The recommended level is 0.5-1.5% additive (as supplied) based upon fillers. It is listed in EINECS, TSCA, DSL, AICS, PICCS, ENCS, NZIoC and ECSI. It is in line with Directive 2011/65/EU (EU RoHS 2), as amended by the Delegated Directive (EU) 2015/863 (EU RoHS 3), EU Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE), EU Directive 94/62/EC (Packaging Waste) and CONEG Toxics in Packaging. It complies with REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006. The shelf life of BYK®-W 966 is 36 months.
