BYK-MAX LS 4122

BYK-MAX LS 4122 by BYK is a safe to handle, dust-free, granulated UV stabilizer for the use in polypropylene to increase the UV stability of films, fibers and tapes. It offers outstanding UV stability for thick-film PP products and for products with proportionally large surfaces. The HALS contained in this additive not only inhibits the light-induced decomposition of the material, but also acts as a radical scavenger, peroxide decomposer, and reaction inhibitor. The product has a long-lasting effect, high durability, and low volatility. BYK-MAX LS 4122 is recommended for ropes, carpets, non-woven materials, films, garden furniture and bumpers. The recommended level is 1-4% additive (as supplied) based upon the total formulation. It can be added via volumetric or gravimetric dosing units during processing in tape/film extruders, spinning machines, and injection molding machines. The shelf life of this product is 12 months.
