Iso-octyl thioglycolate, dist (IOTG dist)

Isooctyl mercaptoacetate. Acts as a chain transfer agent. Iso-octyl thioglycolate, dist (IOTG dist) is a clear, in short optical path colorless liquid with characteristic odor. It is like other mercaptanes and shows longterm stability. Possesses an incompatibility with oxidizing agents, strongly alkaline and strongly acid materials. Used in the manufacture of certain polymers.
