BRB Silanil® 829 by BRB International BV is a bi-functional organosilane with a versatile structure combining six hydrolysable groups and a secondary amine group. It acts as a crosslinker, providing stability in applications like encapsulating urethane prepolymers.
- It is used as an adhesion promoter for systems based on polyurethane, epoxy, phenolic, furan, melamine, acrylic, silicone, PVB, EVA, PBT, PVAc, PVC, polyamide, polyimide, and other organic resins on inorganic substrates like glass, aluminum, and metal.
- It also acts as a coupling agent for fiberglass-reinforced composites to enhance mechanical properties.
- BRB Silanil® 829 contributes to mechanical properties, such as in furan or phenolic foundry mold making.
- It exhibits lower reactivity due to its secondary amine group, ensuring longer stability.
- It is used in mineral filler treatment applications.
