Irgastab® FS 210 FF by BASF is a phenol-free processing stabilizer system composed of a high molecular weight hydroxylamine Irgastab® FS 042 and a high molecular weight hindered amine phenol-free in a 1:1 ratio. It is a blend of oxidized bis(hydrogenated tallow alkyl) amines (Irgastab® FS 042) and high molecular weight HALS- 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triamine,N,N’’’-[1,2-ethane-diyl-bis[[[4,6-bis-[butyl(1,2,2,6,6-pentamethyl-4-piperidinyl)amino]-1,3,5-triazine-2-yl]imino]-3,1-propanediyl]]bis[N’,N’’-dibutyl-N’,N’’-bis(1,2,2,6,6-pentamethyl-4-piperidinyl). Exhibits high resistance to extraction and low volatility. Offers both long-term thermal stability and high light stability as compared to phenolic processing stabilizer systems. Provides very good processing stability in polyolefin applications where low color and low gas-fade discoloration are required. Irgastab® FS 210 FF is suitable for polyethylene polymers. It also enhances the ability of hindered amines to act as light stabilizers. The recommended usage level is 0.075-0.1%.
