CESA™ IR PE94000789 by Avient (Formerly PolyOne) is a polypropylene (PP) grade used in agricultural and other thermal films. It is a highly loaded masterbatch that replaces carbon black to make black packaging detectable during the recycling process. The dark colored plastics are visible to the near-infrared (NIR) sensors used in automated polymer sorting systems. It allows the penetration of short-wave IR radiation coming from solar rays and prevents the emission of longer-wave IR radiation. It is suitable for processing by film extrusion. Exhibits very good processability, high coloration strength and dispersion quality. CESA™ IR PE94000789 maintains transparency, increases heat retention and supports plant growth. It also allows greenhouses to maintain an adequate temperature, even at night.
