CESA™ IR PE94000785 by Avient (Formerly PolyOne) is a high density polyethylene (HDPE) grade. It is a highly loaded masterbatch that replaces carbon black to make black packaging detectable during the recycling process. The dark colored plastics are visible to the near-infrared (NIR) sensors used in automated polymer sorting systems. It is suitable for processing by extrusion blow molding. Exhibits very good processability, high coloration strength and dispersion quality. Used in agricultural and other thermal films. It allows the penetration of short-wave IR radiation coming from solar rays and prevents the emission of longer-wave IR radiation. It maintains transparency, increases heat retention and supports plant growth. CESA™ IR PE94000785 also allows greenhouses to maintain an adequate temperature, even at night.
