XIBOND™ 120 by aurorium is a styrene and maleic anhydride random copolymer-based compatibilizer, coupling agent, adhesion promoter and a viscosity modifier. It is designed to improve the blend morphology of specific polymer blends.
- Compatibilizer optimize the interfacial tension and morphology against high stresses.
- As a coupling agent it provides low viscosity, improved creep and tensile properties.
- The viscosity modification lowers the molding temperature and provides a better surface appearance.
- XIBOND™ 120 is compatible with high-impact polystyrene (HIPS) resins.
- It is recommended to use twin screw extruders with a mild screw configuration and vacuum degassing facility for good dispersion in styrenic polymer.
- Recommended dosage level is 1-5%.
