Functionalized carbon nanotubes. Possesses high aspect ratio structures with diameter in nanometers and length in microns. It is chemically inert and has high surface area, high electrical conductivity (10-6 ohm m typically), high thermal conductivity (1750-58 00 W/mK) as well as high mechanical strength (tensile strength 60GPa) and modulus (Young’s modulus 1TPa). Used in a wide variety of applications in nanotechnology, electronics, optics and other fields of material science. Can also be used in composites, hydrogen storage, electron emission, synthesis & processing, batteries, supercapacitors, sensors & probes etc.
