Functionalized double wall carbon nanotubes. Possesses high aspect ratio structures with diameter in nanometers and length in microns. It is chemically inert and has high surface area, high electrical conductivity (10-6 ohm m typically), high thermal conductivity as well as high mechanical strength (tensile strength 60GPa) and modulus (Young’s modulus 1TPa). The main testing methods are Raman and electron microscope (TEM and SEM). Used in a wide variety of applications in nanotechnology, electronics, optics and other fields of material science. Can also be used in composites, hydrogen storage, electron emission, synthesis & processing, batteries, supercapacitors, sensors & probes etc.
