Kevlar® 49 by Arclin is an aramid fiber. It is a high modulus grade that is significantly stiffer and less elastic than Kevlar 29, making it more brittle but highly suitable for structural integrity. It is used in boat hulls, aerospace wings and fuselage, and high-end sporting goods.
