OPTICAL BRIGHTENER (OB) CONCENTRATES

OPTICAL BRIGHTENER (OB) CONCENTRATES are available in the form of yellow pellets. The carrier resin is PET, PBT or Co-PET. They provide pleasing white appearance to polyester fiber. In combination with titanium dioxide, a snow-white color is imparted. They provide this effect by absorbing the ultraviolet (UV) portion of the incident light and re-emitting at a higher wavelength in the blue region of the visible spectrum. They possess high thermal stability and display minimal degradation at PET processing temperatures.
