Mansil® 055

Mansil® 055 by Akrochem is a white, spray-dried, precipitated silica. It functions as a semi-reinforcing filler for synthetic- and natural rubber compounding. This spray-dried filler possesses faster incorporation time, less viscosity build-up and excellent dispersion. It imparts hardness, tensile strength, abrasion- and tear resistance. It provides green strength and translucence in the formation of shoe sole compounds. It can be used in combination with carbon black for mechanical rubber. In tire applications, it improves rolling resistance, flex fatigue and traction. Recommended level of Mansil® 055 for preparing lightly loaded compounds is 5-20 phr and oil extended compound is 75-100 phr.
