Akrofax™ B

Akrofax™ B by Akrochem is a light-yellow, medium-hard, hydrogen sulfide vulcanized vegetable oil. It is used as an extender, processing aid and softener in colored rubber applications. It offers unique surface finish and supple feel to vulcanized rubber goods. It enhances ozone resistance of the rubber compounds. It exhibits the ability to flow or promote flow under mechanical pressure. It absorbs large amounts of mineral oils and liquid plasticizer on mill and banbury. It increases the incorporation of fillers and milling efficiency. It provides non-thermoplastic structure in uncured compounds that strengthen extruded sections and minimizes distortions in open steam cures. Akrofax™ B reduces migration of oils and plasticizers to the surface in low durometer stocks. It is applicable in tubing and calendared products for dimensional stability.
