Acmetol 44 by Acmechem is a processing additive. It provides excellent improvement of processing behavior for a wide range of elastomers like NR, SBR, and EPDM (except for halogenated elastomers). It also acts as a cure activator and allows for reduced dosage of stearic acid. It is used as a flow promoter. It improves dispersion of mineral fillers and carbon black providing uniform viscosity from batch-to-batch. Acmetol 44 is suitable for extrusion, injection molding and transfer molding. Recommended dosage is 1-3 phr. It has a shelf life of 2 years.
