All Wetting Agents for Plastic Compounds

Gardobond® Additive H 7488 distributed by DKSH is an additive used as wetting agent during the PET recycling process. It is based on a special blend of surfactants with a high wetting power and a high affinity with plastic material.

• It is able to lower the solid-liquid surface tension and to optimize the floating process between PET and PE/HDPE.
• In this way any air bubbles deposited on flake surface are removed allowing the complete wetting of the substrate.

Ceridust® 9615 A distributed by DKSH is a slip and rub resistance additive in all kind of printing ink and coating systems. It is a micronized blend of polyethylene and amide wax. It is used in masterbatch, compounders and polymer producers. Ceridust® 9615 A is available in APAC region (Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam).

Vikoflex® 4050 Epoxidized Vegetable Oil by Cargill is a low temperature octyl epoxy ester plasticizer. It also acts as a wetting agent and acid neutralizer. It provides improved heat and light stability in vinyl formulations.

Licowax® OP powder distributed by DKSH is a partly saponified ester wax of montanic acids. It is used in masterbatch & compounders and polymer producers. Licowax® OP powder is available in APAC region (South Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand).

BYK® -9076 by BYK is a solvent-free wetting and dispersing additive for ambient curing resin systems, PVC plastisols and production of color masterbatches for thermoplastics based on PE, PP, ABS, PVC, PET and PA. For SMC and pultrusion, it prevents phase separation in all kinds of unsaturated polyesters with differing thermoplastics and is suitable for formulations with low emissions. It is also recommended for stabilizing organic pigments, in particular, acidic and neutral carbon blacks as well as for wetting carbon fibers. For ambient curing resin systems, BYK® -9076 deflocculates pigments by means of steric stabilization. It also generates a uniform electrical charge in the pigment particles. As a result of the small particle size of the deflocculated pigments, high levels of gloss can be achieved and color strength is improved. It increases the transparency in transparent pigments and the hiding power in opaque pigments. Provides improved flow characteristics, higher pigment load and greater process reliability. For thermoplastics, it significantly reduces the viscosity and brings about newtonian flow characteristics in the mill base. The recommended dosage level is 5-30% additive based on organic pigments & carbon blacks for pigment stabilization, 0.5-1% additive based on the fiber content, for wetting carbon fibers and 0.3-1% additive based on the resin quantity to prevent phase separation. The shelf life of BYK® -9076 is 36 months.

CERALENE® 850 by Euroceras acts as a lubricant, pigment wetting and dispersing agent in polypropylene (PP) masterbatches. It is a high crystalline polypropylene homopolymer wax. It is used for the production of PP fiber masterbatches, in combination with CERALENE® 694. The recommended dosage level of CERALENE® 694 typically between 15–25% based on the total wax content in the masterbatch. CERALENE® 850 has a shelf life of 2 years.

CERALENE® 882 by Euroceras acts as a lubricant, pigment wetting and dispersing agent in masterbatches. It is a polyolefine wax with a high drop point. It is used in the modification of plastics. CERALENE® 882 has a shelf life of 2 years.

CERALENE® 885 by Euroceras acts as a lubricant, pigment wetting and dispersing agent in masterbatches. It is a polyolefine wax that offers high drop point. It is used in the modification of plastics. CERALENE® 885 has a shelf life of 2 years.

MARK IC 2052 by Raj Speciality Additives is wetting- and dispersing agent. It is designed for PU system, epoxy resin, UV system, PVC plastisol and ambient curing resin system. Recommended usage level is 20% based on organic pigment, 5.0% inorganic pigment and 1.5% titanium dioxide.

Phenyl PEG POSS® Heterocage by Hybrid Plastics is a plasticizer and wetting agent. It is a hybrid molecule with a rigid inorganic silsesquioxane at the core and organic phenyl and PEG groups attached at the corners of the cage. It is a rheological diluent which lowers the viscosity of high-solids systems. It is a molecular union of both functional chemistry and inorganic-organic compositions. Provides gloss effect, mechanical strengths, high temperature stability and dispersion through pi-pi interactions.
