Polymer additives for Cosmetics Packaging

IncroMax™ PS by Cargill acts as a processing aid and anti-scratch agent for styrenics. It provides mold release, scuff- and scratch resistance and surface quality enhancement. It migrates to the surface of the polymer where it forms a thin lubricating layer, which reduces the coefficient of friction between surfaces and reduces unwanted adhesion.

MACROLEX® Red EG Gran distributed by DKSH is perinone dyestuff-based pigment. It is a solvent-soluble dye for plastics with high heat stability, good lightfastness, weather resistance, high color strength and outstanding brilliance.

• It imparts broad spectrum of possible applications and excellent compatibility with a wide variety of polymer types and manufacturing methods.

Hyperform® HPN® 600ei by Milliken is a high-performance nucleating agent for polypropylene. It offers higher stiffness/impact performance, high flexural modulus and fast crystallization rate. Exhibits isotropic shrinkage and excellent aesthetics. It provides warpage control, low density (lightweight), improved quality to uniform shrinkage, and faster cycle times. It is suitable for processing by thermoforming, injection molding and extrusion blow molding. Polypropylene nucleated with Hyperform® HPN® 600ei offers material substitution options for processors using other clear materials such as OPS or PET. Hyperform® HPN® 600ei is used in packaging, drink cups/ lids, thermoformed parts, and bottles. The recommended dosage is 400-1000 ppm for twin-screw extrusion.

Hyperform® HPN® 68L by Milliken is a high-performance additive designed for use with polypropylene (PP) homopolymers. It possesses extremely fast polymer crystallization speed. It has isotropic shrinkage for reduced warpage and high productivity as well as overriding nucleation power. It is suitable for processing by injection molding and thermoforming. It finds application in automotive, appliance, material handling, caps and closures.

BTA-4007 by Nanjing Baitong New Material is an aryl phosphate nucleating agent. It optimizes rigidity and transparency. It improves the chemical resistance (acid, oil) and dimensional stability. It increases the crystallization temperature and shortens the injection cooling time.

• It refines the size of the crystal and reduces the warping deformation caused by internal stress.
• It inhibits post-constriction and improves product size accuracy.
• It is suitable for processing by injection molding and blow molding.
• It is used in transparent meal boxes, washing machine bucket automotive interior parts (dashboard, door handle), radiator fans, sockets, connectors, housing, medical bottles, food and cosmetic packaging.
• BTA-4007 also has geotextiles and non-woven fabrics applications.
• Its recommended dosage level is 0.05-0.15 phr.

Methyl Tin Mercaptide JX-168 by Furex Group is a high-efficiency methyl tin mercaptide heat stabilizer.

• It is uniquely designed to have good lubricity and processing rheology, excellent transparency and excellent thermal stability without precipitation.
• It prolongs the filter cleaning cycle and provides excellent compatibility with PVC.

Lumina® Royal Amber EH 2408 (9S290D) by Sun Chemical (DIC) is a amber, semi transparent effect pigment with intense color. It provides an attractive eye-catching appearance. It is used for end-use applications such as plastics, cosmetics, personal care packaging and interior indust. Lumina® Royal Amber EH 2408 (9S290D) is compatible with PVC, PA6, PC, PMMA, PS, ABS, rubber, PUR and PO.

Microlen® Red 3840 LW MCN by Sun Chemical (DIC) is a non-dusting, free-flowing, and fully dispersed diketo-pyrrolo-pyrrole organic pigment. It is based on organic pigments and carbon black incorporated in a low molecular-weight polyethylene homopolymer. It is suitable for polyolefin, rubber, and for certain engineering plastics (polyacetal or styrene copolymers). It allows easy dosing, blending, and homogenization with polymer and other preparations. It is recommended for high dimension stability need in technical end applications like caps and closures and is granting a wide polymer range compatibility. Suitable substrates are PP fibers and PO.
