Luminy® FOAM 50F

Luminy® FOAM 50F by TotalEnergies Corbion is a high melt strength, low carbon, circular PLA grade specifically designed for extrusion, extrusion foaming, extrusion blow molding, film blowing. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li> It is developed as a sustainable, industrial-scale replacement for conventional extruded polystyrene (XPS) foam while maintaining comparable processing characteristics and functional performance. </li><li> The grade enables stable foam production with uniform cell morphology and low-density foam structures without the need for additional additives, chain extenders or reactive processing. </li><li> Designed as a drop-in replacement for PS/XPS, it is compatible with existing XPS extrusion lines with minimal modification and maintains processing efficiency and throughput on standard production equipment. </li><li> It is suitable for fresh food packaging applications, including meat trays, fish trays, food-service packaging such as clamshell containers and bowls, as well as other applicable non-food foam packaging uses. </li><li> Derived from renewable sugarcane, it is bio-based, industrially compostable, recyclable, and free from styrene, PFAS, and persistent microplastics. </li><li>Luminy® FOAM 50F is FDA and Korean food-contact approved and provides at least a 70% reduction in carbon footprint compared with XPS foam parts. </li></ul>

Luminy® LX175

Luminy® LX175 by TotalEnergies Corbion is an odorless, high viscosity, low flow, amorphous, transparent polylactic acid (PLA) grade. It has a bio-based content of 100% (confidence level 1) and a bio-based carbon content of 100% according to EN16785-1 under certificate number DIC-00001. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>Certified compostable by Vinçotte (OK Compost S478) and by European Bioplastics 7W2030 (Seedling 7W2030) up to a thickness of 1.0 mm. </li> <li>Complies with EN-13432 standard and meets EU commission regulation 10/2011 on plastic materials. </li> <li>Offers a significant reduction in carbon footprint compared to oil-based plastics. </li> <li>Can be processed by extrusion/ thermoforming or fiber spinning. </li> <li> Luminy® LX175 is suitable for the production of semi-crystalline parts, which exhibit a higher temperature resistance. </li></ul>

Luminy® PDLA D070

Luminy® PDLA D070 by TotalEnergies Corbion is a general purpose, bio-based PLA grade. Exhibits good heat resistance with excellent mechanical properties and a reduced processing cycle time. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It is used as nucleating agent for high heat PLA resins. </li> <li>Luminy® PDLA D070 typical nucleated formulations should include 3-7% PDLA. </li></ul>
