SORTA-Clear® 40 by Smooth-On is a water clear translucent, addition cure, platinum-catalyzed silicone rubber. Exhibits negligible shrinkage, high tensile strength and high tear strength. It can be color pigmented with SILC Pig® silicone pigments. Urethane, epoxy or polyester resins can be cast into SORTA-Clear® silicone without using a release agent. Designed for making prototype, jewelry or other molds of any configuration where model visibility is important. It is food safe and suitable for culinary applications including casting chocolate and other confections. SORTA-Clear® 40 is mixed 100A:10B solution by weight.
