UNITREX® L is a semi-crystalline, high temperature and wear resistant polyetheretherketone grade by Nytef Plastics. Offers low coefficient of friction, exceptional performance and very low levels of smoke generation & toxic gas emission. Exhibits excellent strength, rigidity, toughness and electrical properties, which remain stable over a wide range of both temperatures and frequencies. Provides chemical resistance to organic & inorganic liquids, low moisture absorption and exceptional dimensional stability. Is insoluble in all common solvents and remains unaffected by steam and hot water. It can be easily machined & fabricated and is available in a full range of heavy gauge rod, plate and tubular bar sizes. UNITREX® L is used in medical & pharmaceutical analytical instruments, aircraft & aerospace, fluid handling, electrical & electronics manufacturing, automotive & transportation and petroleum industry. Sample applications include semiconductor wafer handling components, compressor components & seals, pump wear rings, bearings and bushings. Complies with UL 94 V-0 flame rating.
