Complies with biocompatibility ISO 10993. Grilamid TR® 55 LY by EMS-Grivory (EMS Group) is a polyamide 12 (PA 12) grade based on aliphatic and cycloaliphatic monomers. It possesses very high flexural fatigue strength, good colorability (in transparent as well as opaque colors), good stiffness, good toughness even at low temperatures and good dimensional stability. It provides clear transparency even in high wall thicknesses, good resistance to chemicals, alcohol and stress cracking. It offers low moisture absorption, low water absorption compared to standard polyamides, high heat distortion temperature and easy processability. It is suitable for processing by injection molding. It provides outstanding impact resistance even at low temperatures, good resistance to chemicals, solvents, UV, hydrolysis, weathering and stress cracking.
