Cardia Compostable™ B-F

Cardia Compostable™ B-F by Cardia Bioplastics is a biodegradable and compostable resin based on a blend of thermoplastic starch (TPS), biodegradable polyesters and natural plasticizers. It offers a high level of mechanical strength, impact resistance and toughness. The resin is derived from renewable resources including non-GMO corn starch which is an annually renewable resource. It can be directly used in the film blowing process. It does not contain any non-degradable polymers such as PE, PP, PS and PVC. Cardia Compostable™ B-F is used in compostable-, shopping bags/check-out-, garbage- and leaf litter bags. It is also also used in green bin liners, produce and meat liners, over-wrap packaging, mulch film and breathable film.

Cardia Compostable™ B-MT01

Cardia Compostable™ B-MT01 by Cardia Bioplastics is a biodegradable and compostable resin based on a blend of thermoplastic starch (TPS), biodegradable polyesters and natural plasticizers. It is based corn starch renewable material. It offers a high level of mechanical strength, impact resistance and toughness. It is designed to be used for injection molding and profile/sheet extrusion. It is used in biodegradable injection molded products such as cutlery, toothbrushes, combs, shavers, golf-tees, plant markers, containers, caps and closures. Cardia Compostable™ B-MT01 is also used in extruded pipes, tubes and rods, biodegradable stakes, pegs, tags as well as compostable rigid products if wall thickness is kept below 1 mm.

Cardia Biohybrid™ BL-M

Cardia Biohybrid™ BL-M by Cardia Bioplastics is a blend of thermoplastic starch (TPS) with polyolefin. It is formulated with 66% of renewable thermoplastic starch polymer. It offers a high level of mechanical strength, outstanding elongation properties and toughness. It is suitable for a wide range of products manufactured by injection molding, extrusion or blow molding processes. Due to its content of polyolefins the material is not a fully biodegradable polymer and is not intended for ultimate disposal in commercial composting facilities. It is used in injection molded products such as cutlery, toothbrushes, combs, shavers, golf-tees, etc, stakes and pegs, horticultural products such as flower pots, planters, stakes, caps, closures. Cardia Biohybrid™ BL-M is also recommended for sheet extruded products such food trays, tubs, disposable plates, strapping, labels, blow molded bottles, toys, profile extruded products such as candy sticks and disposable drinking straws.
