Durite™ SC-1008 by Bakelite Synthetics is phenolic resol resin. It is cured in a single step by exposure to heat or acids. It is a laminating varnish specifically designed for applications where extended exposure at temperatures up to 500°F is required. Durite™ SC-1008 is suitable for manufacturing composites, MIL-R-9299C (Grade B) and MIL-DTL-64154 (Appendix B). Durite™ SL-575B by Bakelite Synthetics is modified phenolic resol. It offers toughness and flexibility to the cured matrix. It is cured with an acid or latent acid at ambient or relatively low temperatures. Durite™ SL-575B is suitable for processing by filament winding, resin transfer molding and hand lay-up applications. It is used in manufacturing composites. Durite™ FD-658E by Bakelite Synthetics is a powdered, heat resistant phenolic resin. It offers excellent hot molding latitude and general purpose bond for friction elements. Durite™ FD-658E is used in asbestos and non-asbestos composite applications. Durite™ FD-870X by Bakelite Synthetics is a powdered, heat resistant novolac phenolic resin. It provides a general purpose bond for friction elements. Durite™ FD-870X is used in asbestos and non-asbestos composite applications. Durite™ SD-5144 by Bakelite Synthetics is a pulverized, novolac phenolic resin containing hexamine. It is recommended for manufacturing composites. Durite™ SD-1731 by Bakelite Synthetics is a low molecular weight, high purity phenol-formaldehyde novolac resin. It is designed to increase cross-link density of epoxy resins. Durite™ SD-1731 is suitable for manufacturing composites. Durite™ D_FD-1320E by Bakelite Synthetics is silicon modified phenolic novalac resin with hexa group. It offers increased thermal stability and superior noise reduction. Durite™ D_FD-1320E is suitable for friction elements. Durite™ FD-2064 by Bakelite Synthetics is cresol modified, pulverized novolac phenolic resin. It exhibits good process latitude. It is recommended for organic and semi-metallic friction elements. Durite™ FD-703A by Bakelite Synthetics is a powdered, epoxy modified phenolic resin. Offers excellent hot molding latitude and improved noise characteristics while retaining the necessary performance. Durite™ FD-703A is designed for automotive applications including semi-metallic pads and segment. Durite™ SD-1713 by Bakelite Synthetics is phenol-formaldehyde novolac resin with high percent of bisphenol-F. It possesses low melting point and high molecular weight. It provides solvent-free and high solids formulations. It is used to increase cross-link density of epoxy resins. Durite™ SD-1713 is suitable for manufacturing composites and high temperature applications.
