AGRANA, founded 1988, headquartered in Vienna, Austria. AGRANA’s plastics-related operations focus on bio-based polymer feedstocks and barrier films derived from starch and other renewables. The company supplies biodegradable film precursors, polymer modifiers, and coating resins for packaging applications. Its technologies include extrusion coating, blown-film grade formulations, film lamination chemistries, and compostable additive systems. AGRANA supports material substitution strategies by blending bio-based polymers with conventional polymers. AGRANA places emphasis on renewable raw materials to reduce dependency on fossil-based plastics.

AMITROPLAST® 8945

AMITROPLAST® 8945 by AGRANA is a thermoplastic corn starch made from completely renewable and genetically unmodified raw materials.
