EcoPaXX® Q-HG6

EcoPaXX® Q-HG6 by Envalior is a heat-stabilized, 30% glass-fiber-reinforced, long aliphatic polyamide (PA410) based on castor oil. It is processed by injection molding. It is particularly suitable for use in high-tech applications due to its low moisture absorption and excellent mechanical properties. It shows excellent chemical & hydrolysis resistance for use in thermal management applications as well as other structural parts. It has high melting point of about 250°C and a high rate of crystallization (faster and more efficient production). It allows for reliable solutions due to high-temperature resistance, good electrical insulation properties, high resistance to coolants even at elevated temperatures and due to its good thermo-mechanical properties (it withstands high internal pressures at temperatures of up to 135°C outperforming PA66). And, allows for light weight (30% weight reduction versus PA66) and sustainable solutions due to its biobased character. EcoPaXX® Q-HG6 offers excellent low-temperature resistance and excellent combination of flexibility and stiffness as required in a mountaineering shoe. It enables solutions which are 100% carbon neutral from cradle to cradle. It allows for lightweight (40-50% lighter) and more cost effective solutions than metal at the cold side. It is used in automotive connectors, charge air cooler caps, coolant hose T-connectors, coolant expansion tank, fuel line connectors, fuel system, positition sensor, snowboard bindings, speed & temperature sensor, wheel speed sensors and window profiles.
