ELASTOSIL® LR 3078/50 A/B by Wacker is a self-adhesive, easily-pigmentable two-component liquid silicone rubber with extremely short curing times. Its vulcanizates show excellent mechanical and electrical properties.
  • It is heavy metal-, GMO-, BSE-, TSE-, PAH-, DMF-, APEO-, phthalates-, azo compounds-, PCDD/PCDF-, asbestos-, melamine-, bisphenols-, radioactive substances, POP-, conflict mineral-, ODS-, SCCP- & PFAS-free grade.
  • It is primeless grade that adhere to polycarbonate (PC) and various high-performance plastics substrates such as polyarylethersulfones (PESU, PSU, PPSU).
  • It creates strong adherence to the thermoplastic during curing.
  • It is characterized by a very low tendency of mold deposition and specially developed for 2K injection-molding.
  • It is biocompatible and can be steam-sterilized at a temperature of 134 °C without impairing the mechanical properties of the elastomer or its good adhesion to the plastic.
  • It is designed for use in general automotive parts and particularly suitable for the economical production of large series of over molded parts (thermoplastic/elastomer), even in a comolding process (shuttle mold) under standard conditions, without any special treatment of the mold surface.
  • It is generally used for face-, ventilation- & anesthesia masks, technical applications and medical components.
  • The type of mask made with this grade has a soft cushion that adapts perfectly to the contours of the face, ensuring a tight fit.
