MediPEEK -IM by Westlake Plastics is a biocompatible, mechanically strong, tough & durable polyetheretherketone grade. It exhibits superior hydrolysis- and chemical resistance yielding excellent dimensional stability. Possesses tribological properties (wear resistance to both frictional & abrasive wear). Suitable for steam, gamma radiation, ethylene oxide or chemical sterilization with no detrimental effects. Compatible with imaging (radio translucency aids) in diagnostic visual assessment of bone growth. Suitable for long term implantable medical applications like in vitro diagnostic, orthopedic and spinal devices. Applications also include surgical, diagnostic & analytical medical instruments/ devices and dental devices, instruments & equipments. MediPEEK -IM complies with USP Class VI, ISO-10993 and FDA.
