EMAC+® SP1305 by Westlake is a soft, flexible ethylene methyl acrylate (EMA) copolymer grade with 20% methyl acrylate (MA). Exhibits good toughness, excellent adhesion, high solids fillability, excellent environmental stress-cracking resistance (ESCR) and high coefficient of friction or “surface tack” for nonskid or high-grip surfaces. Offers high melting point, better clarity, improved processing, good low-temperature impact strength. EMAC+® SP1305 is compatible with various polymers including paper, polyolefins, oriented polyolefins, polyesters, ionomers, PVC, unplasticized PVC & other polar polymers and an additional compatibility in polymer alloys. Is suitable for processing by extrusion, coating and compounding. Recommended for films, disposable gloves, wound care and tie layer applications. It is patented under US patent 5804675.
