EDISTIR® ICE S 900 by Versalis Eni Group is a very high environmental stress cracking resistant polystyrene high impact (HIPS) grade. It exhibits high toughness and excellent chemical resistance to oils, fats and chemical agents and in particular to cyclopentane. It is suitable for extrusion, thermoforming and injection molding. It improves wall thickness distribution in thermoforming, thus the original extruded sheet thickness can be optimized. It has been designed for inner liners and frames for refrigerators where cyclopentane is used as a blowing agent for insulating polyurethane foams. EDISTIR® ICE S 900 is recommended for fatty food packaging.
