Exxelor™ PE 1040 by The Compound Company is a high maleic anhydride functionalized high density polyethylene, produced by reactive extrusion. Designed to act as a coupling agent in filled PE compounds, or tie layer in multilayer PE systems to ensure compatibility as well as to improve adhesion and mechanical properties. Offers improved notched izod and charpy impact strength as well as reduced water absorption. Exxelor™ PE 1040 is compatible with polyamide and functions as a tie layer in multilayer tank systems.
