SYNTHOS PS GP 171 by Synthos Group is a colorless, general purpose polystyrene (GPPS) grade available in the form of cylindrical granules. It is modified by blending with the high impact polystyrene (HIPS) and SBS copolymers. Exhibits excellent optical properties & gloss, good mechanical strength and high heat resistance. Can be processed by injection molding, extrusion and thermoforming. It is recommended for cups for hot drinks, shower enclosures panels, biaxially-oriented sheets (BOPS) and lightweight sheets (XPS). SYNTHOS PS GP 171 is also used as a co-extrusion material for sheets & plates with a glossy surface for packaging in food industry.
